Man, I have several posts to catch up on. . . my days of Thankfulness and I would like to start my 12 Days of Christmas soon as well. So, I will update/post those soon.
Tonight, I have a very specific request. I need urgent prayer for my dad. It is a long story, but I truly know that God is faithful. I am asking for specific prayer- especially this morning. I am concentrating on Psalm 123 and praying it aloud tonight. I am doing Beth Moore's Psalms of Ascent with a friend, Rachel. This is my one on one study while I am leading another study. This Psalm came to mind tonight.
Psalm 123
A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to you,
to you whose throne is in heaven.
2 As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the LORD our God,
till he shows us his mercy.
3 Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy on us,
for we have endured much contempt.
4 We have endured much ridicule from the proud,
much contempt from the arrogant.
Thank you for praying for my daddy. I will update you with more details in the morning.
