Challenge Day One

Ok, today was not too bad. .. Challenge Day One Begins. . . I came home for lunch and to also sleep a bit as I am still tired from being sick. When I went to leave work, I was lucky, I had a few minutes to spare to run home and eat a very quick bite before heading to the homeless shelter for a service project there.

Then, I went to the grocery store tonight. . .A quick trip to be able to purchase a few items for tomorrow's teen girl sleepover and to also stock up on a few things. I was able to find a good deal on cream cheese (less than a dollar a pack and I had a coupon!) which I will use for some holiday baking, and a few buy one get one free deals on some snack items for the teens. . .So, in total, for groceries for me, and snack goodies, I spent less than $50. I also bought the extra cream cheese, ketchup, and a few other cooking items that I don't normally buy every week.

So, day one went well. . we shall see how days 2-60 go. . . I am a bit concerned about an upcoming lunch out with a friend in a few weeks. . .We are celebrating her 40th Birthday. . . so, I am going to brainstorm that one.

Tonight I was reminded of how many blessings I have as I served at the homeless shelter. Makes one humble.

Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
